"The goal of our family Farm Shop is to offer our customers a high quality & locally sourced range of meats from our award winning butchers, a huge variety of pies and bread baked daily within our in-store bakery alongside a wide range of  fresh groceries & produce. Our family far Shop brings you great food at affordable prices."

Our butchers pride themselves on making sure that our meat is of the very best quality and butchered with craft expertise. Our attention to detail & years of experience has proven to be a champion formula helping our team to win numerous accolades and trophies. This is one of the reasons we've been chosen to supply meat to some of the best restaurants in Huddersfield including Eric's restaurant in Lindley and the Three Acres in Shelley.

We love chatting with our customers and our expert butchers are always on hand to give tips on how best to cook different cuts of meat. If you would like your meat cut or prepared in a certain way, just ask one of our staff who will be happy to help.

Our butcher's counter displays an extensive range of meats, prepared daily by our skilled butchers and including all the popular cuts. We also prepare more unusual cuts, (which would seldom be found on supermarket shelves) such as the incredibly tasty beef bavette.

Most of the beef and lamb at Bolster Moor Farm Shop is our own, which has been fed on our farm, and where we need to bolster our own stocks, we source from local farms.

Our pork comes from a neighbouring farm just up the road and our poultry is from P&R Whitwam poultry farmers, who are less than 2 miles away in Golcar. Local is definitely best!

Our friendly staff can be seen stocking our grocery shelves, with a smile and probably a bit of banter to offer!

Don’t hesitate to ask for assistance if you need any help whatsoever, including carrying your groceries to the car if you need help.

Alongside our pies and meats we offer a wide range of other fresh produce and groceries: fruit and veg, fresh bread cakes and desserts from our in store bakery and craft ales to name but a few. As always, where possible our products are locally produced and of the highest quality.

The fresh fruit and vegetables available at Bolster Moor Farm Shop are sourced locally wherever possible and delivered daily. We always look to stock a lovely seasonal selection in our range, because we know that seasonal produce is always the tastiest and most nutritional.

We also stock a range of fresh flowers supplied by ‘Yorkshire White Rose Florists’, so they are well-conditioned, quality flowers, which are creatively put together.

Our milk comes from cows grazed on the hills of Slaithwaite, from Samuel Briggs’ dairy herd. Delicious yoghurts and cream come from Longley Farm and ice-cream is by Just Jenny’s, made just over the hill in Barkisland.

Our hen’s eggs also come from local hens, as do our duck, geese and quail eggs when we’re lucky enough to get them. We stock local cheese too, including the award-wining Barncliffe Brie made in Shelley. Beautiful!

With an onsite bakery, we take pride in filling our shelves with freshly baked loaves, at a price that won’t break the bank. We believe in keeping it affordable here at Bolster Moor Farm Shop.

Within our range we make white, brown and granary loaves and bloomers, teacakes, currant teacakes (perfect for toasting) and some old school favourites such as milk roll, to name just a few.
