Baking our own means that we cut out the middle man and so not only is it local produce and as fresh as it gets, but it’s a nice fit with our ethos of providing good food at affordable prices. See, we used our loaf on this one…!

Within our range we make white, brown and granary loaves and bloomers, teacakes, currant teacakes (perfect for toasting) and some old school favourites such as milk roll, to name just a few.

Our Daily Bread
Our team of master bakers work the nightshift here at Bolster Moor Farm Shop, to bake our range of lovely fresh breads, ready to fill our shelves every morning before our doors open. When the nightshift goes home, the farm shop is filled with the delicious smell of fresh bread and the early bakery shift has already started to bake yummy cakes and desserts, which are sold in the farm shop and served in the coffee shop.
Our bakery team are masters at their craft, with more years of experience between them than they’d care to admit! They pay attention to detail and are methodical in ensuring their tried and tested recipes are produced to exacting standards. They’re also pretty creative when in comes to seasonal cakes and desserts. It’s all very tempting working around here…!
A Lovely Sandwich
Of the 3000 thousand teacakes we bake every week, a large batch goes daily to our coffee shop, to make into delicious sandwiches. The soft fluffiness of our freshly baked bread is the perfect partner for our sandwiches, such as the Bolster Moor Hot Beef teacake, our Champions of Champions sausage sandwich and not forgetting of course Britain’s Best Bacon Butty.
