As renowned craft butchers, we’re been chosen by some of the best chefs in the area, to supply our meat for their restaurant.
Good chefs know that only the very top quality local ingredients produce dishes bursting with flavour. This is why they insist that all meat on the menu is from Bolster Moor Farm Shop. To this end, we now supply Eric’s restaurant in Lindley and The Three Acres in Shelley.
The meat we supply to these restaurants is the same as we sell in the farm shop, open to the public 7 days a week.
We pride ourselves on making sure that our meat is of the very best quality and butchered with craft expertise. We pay attention to detail and this has proved to be a winning formula for accolades and trophies. (Problem is, we’ve won that many, we’re going to need another trophy shelf…)
We love chatting with our customers – nothing better than a bit of friendly Yorkshire banter to cheer up the day. Our butchers are on hand to give tips on how to cook different cuts of meat or advice on the quantity you might need to feed a certain number of people. Plus, if you need meat preparing in a certain way, we’re happy to oblige. It’s all part of our service. Just ask!
Local is Best
Most of the beef and lamb at Bolster Moor Farm Shop is our own, which has been fed on our farm, and where we need to bolster our own stocks, we source from local farms.
Our pork comes from a neighbouring farm just up the road and our poultry is from P&R Whitwam poultry farmers, who are less than 2 miles away in Golcar. Local is definitely best!
The Full Range
Our butcher counter displays an extensive range of meats, prepared daily by our skilled butchers and including all the popular cuts. We also prepare more unusual cuts, (which would seldom be found on supermarket shelves) such as the incredibly tasty beef bavette.
We make a range of burgers and kebabs, as well as a tonne and a quarter of fresh sausage each week. The sausage range includes Cumberland, cheddar & chive, pork & leek, Mediterannean, sweet chilli and thick pork – along with monthly specials, such as chilli and chocolate, or jalapeno. They’re champion!
