Spring in our step!
Spring is coming and with it comes new birth on the farm. The lambs and calves will be keeping us busy and we’re looking forward to spring days for them to graze the fields.
Along with the lambs, we’ve got a spring in our step too – must be the promise of our bakers’ Easter treats! As cute and delicious as ever sitting proudly in our cake display, but don’t worry, you can redress the balance with some of this season’s beautiful fresh produce in our grocery section. It’s a great time of year for vitamins and crunch!
Hot Cross Buns
Tradition has it that if you share a hot cross bun, you’ll have friendship in the coming year. “Half for you and half for me, between us two shall goodwill be"
So we say grab a friend and enjoy a freshly baked bun (or two!). They’re irresistibly sticky and sweetly spiced, made to a traditional Easter recipe.
We like them lightly toasted and buttered with a good cup of tea. Reet grand!
Has tha tried chilli haslet?
Chilli haslet is our own take of an old-school recipe. Made with select cuts of pork here at the farm shop, this spicy, herby meat loaf is delicious sliced and served cold in sandwiches or with a crunchy salad. Try it, it’s pretty tasty!
All day brunch
The Coffee Shop has become pretty famous for its all day breakfast, so this season we’re giving you even more choice with some tempting dishes for an all day brunch. Look out for our smoked salmon & cream cheese bagel and our posh welsh rarebit with a strong Cheshire Cheese. We're also bringing you one of our favourite American dishes, fresh fluffy buttermilk pancakes, served with maple syrup and crispy Farm Shop bacon.
Scrum-diddly-umptious Easter treats await you in our cake counter made fresh by our bakers. Take home a selection of sweet ginger bunnies, cupcake chicks, Easter nests or traditional simnel slices. What a treat!
